Ltd.” (AKDPL) is a design-driven, quality-conscious, multidisciplinary design practice based in Jaipur, India, involved in the manufacturing of high quality furniture items that are finding their way into design showrooms the world over. Established in 1997, the company, infuses centuries of craftsmanship with contemporary design sensibilities. In order to revive crafts, the finest is patronized, establishing benchmarks for quality and consistency while establishing a reliable Indian Design Brand.

The company has three retail brands. AKFD (akfdstudio.com), specializing in furniture and home accessories. Bright decorative lights extending from simple luminaires to large customized installations, and Anantaya (anantayadecor.in) having a wide array of artifacts, accessories, garments, textiles and furniture at the intersection of crafts, culture and design.

Through meaningful employment, fair trade practices, they support a wide network of skilled artisans’ livelihoods. An innovative design, production and business ecosystem enables the company to create unique solutions that stand out in the market.

AKDPL has also been doing projects the world over and has been supplying to prominent international design companies, using local, sustainable and repurposed materials in an inventive combination of ancient techniques with high-tech modeling. An innate knowledge of materials and design, coupled with a keen understanding of people, the environment, and their culture allows them to move seamlessly between projects, integrating seemingly disconnected disciplines into one.

In a short span of time, the company has built up a great reputation receiving attention from worldwide media, like Condé Nast Traveler, Vogue, New York Times, Financial Times, Wall Street Journal, Harper’s Bazaar, Wallpaper as well as by connoisseurs of art and design. The guiding force, Ayush Kasliwal, a National Institute Of Design, Ahmedabad alumnus, is one of India’s leading design thinkers, practitioners and advocates for artisans. He, with his wife, Architect, Geetanjali Kasliwal, aspire to improve the lives of a million artisans. Named 100 most Influential Design firms in the Indian Subcontinent 2018 by Architectural Digest, they won the Lexus Design Award 2019. They have been recipients of EDIDA awards and four UNESCO Awards of Excellence.
