Shipping Terms and Conditions
After ordering furniture from the website, AKFD will take 4-6 weeks to deliver your order to your doorstep. However, in case of delays due to unforeseen circumstances, we will inform you about the status of your order.
Most items will be delivered Monday to Saturday. Once your shipment is ready for dispatch, you will receive an email with the relevant details. You may also receive a call from the courier company/logistics partner confirming the tentative date and time of delivery. However, as we do not have direct control over the courier/logistics partners, we cannot guarantee that they will call before delivering your order.
The delivery personnel will deliver the goods to the ground floor of the building premises or wherever it is physically possible. For higher floors, doorstep delivery will not be possible. Kindly arrange for your own labor/manpower to transport large products to higher floors. The logistics partner’s responsibility is limited to ground-floor delivery.
Furniture that is refused because it does not fit through an entryway will be the client's responsibility. We encourage you to carefully check the dimensions mentioned on the product page to ensure that the furniture fits through your entryway and rooms. AKFD will not be responsible if the furniture does not fit through the entryway, stairway, etc. Please note that any failed delivery due to refusal or unavailability and any subsequent delivery attempts will incur additional charges by AKFD or the logistics partner.
We also request that you provide the correct address and phone number at the time of placing the order. If you are planning to travel and will be unavailable at the given contact number, please inform us in advance so that we can plan the shipping and delivery accordingly.
For product safety during transit and due to multiple handling points, most goods are secured with wooden crates. These crates may make the packaging bulky and cause some inconvenience, but they are essential for securing the product. Customers are responsible for unboxing the goods with the help of a local carpenter or professional. A product opening video and clear images with packing labels are mandatory for reporting any damage or defects to the delivery personnel and AKFD customer care. The same must be emailed to info@akfdstudio.com within two days of receiving the goods. The description of any defect/damage must also be mentioned on the Challan/Proof of Delivery (POD).
Please note: Delivery personnel are not obligated or authorized to open the furniture packages. Their duty is solely to deliver the goods, and they are not directly employed by AKFD. We request your cooperation and ask that you do not insist that they open crates or packages.
AKFD reserves the right to cancel delivery if we believe the shipping address is not secure (e.g., a communal postal address or P.O. Box). If this affects your order, we will notify you as soon as possible.
