A Bespoke Experience: Space design project

Art sits in the background and constantly surprises as one's eyes pick it up, one by one.

First impression of the site?

AKFD Team: “The first view of the site was fairly nondescript, a big hall with a low ceiling, a massive glass window, and non-descript floors. It was a space with a ton of possibilities. Of all things, colours were the toughest to handle”.

Design concept

When one enters the space, one is surrounded by columns that are fairly unique to the city of Jaipur- these columns line the famed MI road, which forms the central spine of the city. The central structure is an adaptation of the Baradari or a place where people meet. The spaces are subtly divided into the office, the living areas, the dining areas, the garden, and the bedroom (the viewing room) suggesting that the place is an apartment.

When doors opened!

AKFD Team - “We wanted the spaces to be distinctive and yet sit easily on the eye. We imagined the space as the home of a well-traveled lady, of royal lineage, a person of the world, with homes dotting the globe”.

"It is a wow moment for us, I would rather say we are astounded! The space feels more like a luxurious home, rather than a store, a unique bespoke experience to visitors”- Yash Birdhichand
