The practice of surya namaskar, or sun salutation, is a revered sequence of yoga postures that harmonizes body and mind by drawing energy from the sun. In vedic tradition, the sun symbolizes consciousness and divine energy, which is why it has been a central element of daily worship in Indian culture for centuries.
At New Delhiʼs T-3 Terminal, the sculpture depicting the surya namaskar cycle provides a tranquil contrast to the otherwise bustling environment. The artwork beautifully captures the essence of this ancient practice, offering a calming visual and spiritual respite to travelers. The sculpture not only serves as an aesthetic focal point but also subtly honors the deep cultural and spiritual significance of the sun in Indian tradition
